The Maxpedition Fatboy Versipack has a main compartment that is 8 inches x 6.5 inches x 3 inches. Is made from 1000 Denier water and abrasion resistant light weight ballistic nylon fabric. This versipack is a ergonomic durable shoulder sling pack. It is a portable gear organizer that provides secured containment for and rapid accessibility of daily equipment. The versatile main compartment has a huge 156 cubic inch of space with a water resistant storm collar that can be deployed by pulling a cord locked drawstring. The Maxpedition Fatboy Versipack can be used as a concealed carry bag, weapons bag, police go bag, travelers gear bag, photographers gear bag, hikers gear bag, or a casual bag.

The Maxpedition Fatboy Versipack (#0403) is more than a durable, ergonomic shoulder sling pack; it is the state-of-the-art portable gear organizer that provides secured containment for and rapid accessibility of daily equipment. The versatile main compartment has a huge 156 cu. in. of space with a water-resistant storm collar that can be deployed by pulling a cord-locked drawstring. An array of integral fixed-position external pouches retains and indexes individual pieces of gear while two sets of nylon webbing anchors accommodate MAXPEDITION's modular expansion accessories such as the CP-L Radio Holster. It also has a 2" wide Velcro loop patch on the front lid for attachment of ID patches. Each Fatboy comes with a tactile non-slip shoulder pad providing great comfort during extended use.
The Fatboy's rear slip compartment is now equipped with large loop Velcro patches to accommodate our Hook & Loop Modular Accessories (e.g. #3501 Universal Modular Holster, sold separately). This allows the user to position their concealed carry firearm for a quick strong side draw or weak side cross draw.
The MAXPEDITION Fatboy S-Type Versipack (#0408) was originally designed for Search and Rescue work, the S-type allows for the additional attachment of the CP-L Radio Holster (#0102) or any other MAXPEDITION accessory pocket in place of the cellphone pocket on the standard Fatboy. In addition, the Fatboy S-Type rides on the left side of the body filling the need for a 'lefty' Fatboy and a grab-and-go gear bag that does not hinder the quick drawing of a sidearm on the right hip. It also has a 2" wide Velcro loop patch on the front lid for attachment of ID patches. Each S-Type Fatboy comes with a tactile non-slip shoulder pad providing great comfort during extended use.

(1) The footprint of the S-type is in the MIRROR IMAGE of the footprint of the standard Fatboy.
(2) The S-type has an additional anchor attachment point where the cellphone pocket is on the standard Fatboy.
(3) The S-type provides more modular capacity than the standard Fatboy with three anchor attachment points.

GREAT bag, but... |
Good quality of construction, decent amount of space, well thought out design. I bought the pack primarily for CCW and carrying competition gear (first aid kid, water, ammunition). It was very comfortable not matter how much weight I put in it and I never once felt bad about not babying it. It's just a bit too snug to fit my full to mid sized handguns for CCW (Sig P220 and P229 mostly... my J-frame had no problems). I ended up going with the Jumbo for my application and love it just as much!
As a side note, this site's service and shipping were nothing short of exceptional! I would absolutely recommend both the Fatboy and On the Go Backpacks to anyone.
